ya-ya

Did I mention that we were busy? Regardless of that fact, the boys have refused to stop growing and changing. So here's what we've been up to today! Both boys love push toys.
And they love to stand up to play.

Nobody will still for pictures any more. Well, they will sit still, but not all at the same time.

Yay! It's the weekend!
Both boys are starting to imitate you more (uh- oh). If I can get Miles' attention (and hold it), when I say "mama," he makes a 2 syllable sound that kind of is like "yaya." He hasn't used it directed toward me yet, but that may not be too far off. Miles has also started to take steps alone. I do think that he will walk by his birthday. Camden is cruising more and more. He is definitely more confident in his walking than he used to be.
Have a good week!

11 months old

The Mad Scientist

It has been a rough week. Both babies have roseola. It started on Wednesday with Miles starting a fever, he was sick with fever for a couple of days, then Camden got it. The fevers were pretty high, so we were getting the boys up at night to give them Advil and Tylenol. I am so proud of them. They went back to sleep quickly and were good. Camden is still recovering today eating mostly popsicles and yogurt. We also want to thank our Nana and Auntie Mary, it is great to be surrounded by so many good nurses!

Mommy has been studying as hard as she can. We are looking forward to next week. We are hoping for more rest, and time with Mommy when she finishes her first test. Go Mommy!

We play like this on the neighborhood swing. It is quite precious to have two delighted babies at once.

We recycle at our house.

Won't be too much longer and he'll be walking. We had to move the toybox out of the family room today. Miles found his way on top of it.

Bath time!

It doesn't seem so long ago that we were giving the boys their first bath, now they are taking baths like 'big boys!'

I remember they were so hungry that night, that's why they are eating their hands. It was hard to find a good time for bath, because they were either eating or sleeping!
Check out the top tooth! Miles' face is starting to look different and fill out.

"I love bath time, don't you Camden?"
Before bath we blew bubbles and played on the patio.

It was humid last night, so the bubbles really stayed around.
Up on 2!

A little time at the park

Earlier this week, we spent a little time outside at the nearby park. Both boys are quick! You need two parents to keep up with them! Do I look cuter this way?

Or this way?

How about just a close up ?

Miles on the prowl for something to eat.
Ah, Ha! Success!

Here I

come!!

Awww, Dad! That was the perfect piece of dirt to out in my mouth!

As you remember from an earlier video, Miles is very good at telling us 'no.' Camden is working on the opposite. How perfect!

Labor Day

The unofficial end of summer, sigh. We will miss summer.
We took a trip up to Nana Kathy and Poppa Gary's lake house to commemorate the event. After the initial trauma of getting into the life preservers, both boys enjoyed themselves. Camden found it relaxing, while Miles found it exhilarating! All of us ready to go!

Camden is thinking, "you want me to wear what?"

Kathy and Camden catching the breeze.

Miles checking the sights.

Miles would jump up...
and down. Never rested one second. Not even on the way home.
Happy Labor Day everybody!!

Camden crawls!

I can remember when I couldn't tell the boys apart. When we brought them home, I painted Camden's toenail because I was so afraid I would confuse them. Needless to say, I never did, but I needed that reassurance. Now everyone says, "they're twins?!?!" I prefer of to think of them as brothers that share the same birthday.
Camden has really taken off with his crawling. But like everything, he is very different from Miles in his mannerisms. Miles has a 'charge!' attitude to his crawling. Camden is more like a giraffe on the safari. Both are beautiful to watch as they learn new tasks and they are so determined!
It is 'chilly' (60)here on the back porch this labor day weekend. We will be watching Purdue football today and going to the lake to visit Nana Kathy and Poppa Gary and go fo rour first ride on a boat tomorrow.
Up on 1!

Beep! Beep!

This week has been busy! and we are not quite over with yet. Things have been going well. The boys are adjusting to me (Mom) being home less. They are ready to see me at the end of the day. So being a working mom and student, when I am home with the boys we need to get stuff done. Today we went to the grocery store, which for most is no big deal. But it is a very big deal when you have 2 10 month olds to entertain. The biggest obstacle to date is that unless you carry somebody, it is hard to shop with them both. There are carts with cars and we were lucky enough to get one. Mom's with singletons or Moms who have children who are older (or know how to stay with Mom), please leave these blessed carts for people with more than one child- please, please, please. For some reason the grocery stores around here only have one or two of them and without them shopping would be impossible. I do not know why grocery stores do not have carts like Sam's Club (the double wide). Anyways, I'll get off my box for now. And if there is anyone out there who has a suggestion on how to make the standard cart work for 2 children please let me know!!!!
