3 months old today!
It's hard to believe that just 3 short months ago, Greg and I were in the hospital welcoming our two new editions. Things have gone by "quickly." They do seem to be getting SO BIG. Camden decided to honor this day by giving me his first giggle. While I have been working at home through my maternity leave, I go back to campus tomorrow. Classes start next week. I will genuinely miss this time we have all had together. Only 16 weeks until summer vacation!

Week 12- to the park
I know that many of you have children out there. And for your entire parenting "career" you have tried not to compare your children. "Your brother walked earlier, your sister is smarter, you did this first, you were really late doing that." With twins, this is virtually impossible to avoid. I am working on it, but it is hard. Miles is a "gross motor skill" overachiever. He is rolling over regularly, he giggled (I mean really tummy-laughed) for the first time(last night), he holds his head up at 90 degrees. He likes to stand (ironically he does not like to sit up). He slept for 10 hours last night in his own crib (8-6), but he will NOT nap. Camden is my quiet contemplator. He is a thoughtful guy and will stare at you with those big blue eyes until you melt. And if he cries, he really breaks your heart. He doesn't have the head control that Miles does unless you "trick" him into working on it (usually 'super baby' or sitting him upright). If you put him on his stomach, he just lays his head down and waits for you to feel sorry for him and flip him over. He converses with you like you really understand what he is saying. He is an excellent napper. Put a 'paci' in his mouth and he is out for an hour or more. He doesn't sleep as well at night- only 8 hours at a time ;) (I know some of you are hating me). We really worked on getting them to sleep. Next week is it- back to work! Wish us all luck.
People still ask us if we get them confused. No. They are completely different people.
We went for a walk yesterday- it was 54. It really wore them out. I think they enjoyed it- See for yourself.
They LOVE stories.
He was really going. Then I went and got the camera. I guess he's camera shy. Hopefully he'll do it again soon.

Greg and Miles
A while back I posted pictures of myself and Camden, because I think that it is eerie how much we look alike. Greg's mom dug through his old pictures, and I must admit that Greg looks an awful lot like Miles. This is really great because when Miles is a stinker (which is a good part of the time), I hand him over to Greg and remind him that I'm sure his Mom wanted him to have a son just like him. I think my favorite Goodrich story is the one where his Mom and Dad used to tell Greg to "run around the house until I get tired." I have a feeling that we will be using that on Miles.

11 weeks
Time is flying by! I go back to work in 2 weeks- it's hard to believe that just 11 weeks ago I was still pregnant. It seems like the boys have been around forever.
Things are going well. Last night they slept for 8 hours and 10 minutes uninterrupted. This was 8 hours and 50 minutes between feedings. Just when I think, "I should go pump." They usually wake up. I am very proud of Camden. Sleeping for long periods of time (at night) is a challenge for him. Here are some fresh pictures. We hope that you are all enjoying your snow!
Miles in one of his rare serious moments.
Camden with a somewhat rare smile.
Cooing- This isn't all them, Greg and I egg them on some, but listen closely.

2 month check up
We had our 2-month check-up today and everything is going wonderful. Both boys are growing by leaps and bounds. The Dr. is very proud of our exclusive breastfeeding schedule. I must admit that I am too. Each sleeps about 6-7 hours per night (especially with a little coaxing from Mom and Dad).
Miles weighs 12#4.5oz and is 23"
Camden weighs 11# 8oz and is 23.25"
Miles looks a little bigger than Camden, but Camden really uses that .25" to his advantage; he is long and lean.
Both boys are meeting their developmental milestones. They have been smiling and cooing and lifting their heads very well.
I go back to work at the end of the month, so we have been practicing what it will be like without me home all day. Fortunately Greg and I get to share daycare duties and the boys will get to stay home.
We hope that everyone is having a good New Year and I will get pictures up soon.
The cats like naptime as much as the babies (probably more so). They often join us for the morning, afternoon and evening naps!
